Highlights of Feb. 22 meeting of Marlboro Township trustees:
Fiscal Officer Tracy Ferrett — Nothing to report.
Fire — No one from department was present, no report was left.
Police — Chief Ron Devies was not present, no report.
Road — Road Foreman Rick Bergert reported:
• Received 133 ton of salt so far and still need to get 187 ton. Hauled 65 ton of grit to mix with the salt.
• New garage doors were to be installed. Contractors Norm and Keith were to finish ceiling. Keith got quote from Yoder Hardware for $601.03 for the steel for the road department to finish the wall in the road garage. Price had already gone up 7% since quote was received. It was expected to rise again, so trustees unanimously approved a purchase of supplies to avoid the increase. Purchase amount was $643.10. Bergert noted the price should be less since the quote included tax, and township is tax exempt. Trustees then requested a quote from Pink Attics to blow insulation on top of the ceiling.
• Trustee Ken Eddleman said he received a letter from Stark County Engineer’s Office requesting the annual Township Highway System Mileage Certification, which is due in April. Bergert reported that it should be more due to Wentz Avenue, but he will look into it. Ferrett requested a copy of the form for Township records once it is complete.
• Trustee Wayne Schillig said he received calls about township spring cleanup dates. Bergert said he thinks it can be held this year, and trustees set…
